Theater de Roode Bioscoop on Amsterdam's Haarlemmerplein is a 110-year-old, intimate theatre where the audience gets close to the artists. The acoustic program is diverse and crosses genres. Expect musical theatre, poetry, jazz, world music, classical music and chansons.
Movies
After more than 100 years, De Roode Bioscoop is showing films again. While enjoying dinner, beautiful documentaries are shown in the presence of the directors. After the screenings, there is room for discussion. The evening ends with a visual dessert and drinks at the bar.

De Roode Bioscoop has the mission to be a sanctuary in Amsterdam with its exceptional history, location and acoustics where new and established talent can experiment on a small scale (the theatre has 70 seats) and in freedom. With hospitality as a top priority, we want to share artistic creation processes with the public in an unprecedentedly intimate setting in the heart of Amsterdam.
