Orgelpark
Housed in the heritage-listed Parkkerk, the Orgelpark is an international concert hall in Amsterdam for organists, composers and other artists. Their aim is to give the organ a new face in contemporary musical culture. Located close to the Vondelpark, the Orgelpark offers a modern series of performances throughout the year where musical forms fuse with the organ taking centre stage.
Orgelpark
Diverse programme
The organ is the focal point of the very diverse programme of Orgelpark activities. Every season about 80 activities take place, such as concerts for diverse groups of enthusiasts. Think, for example, of classical music, jazz, and improvisation.
The Orgelpark also hosts concerts in combination with other forms of performing arts, like dance and film, and organizes master classes and symposia.
Young talent
Once in a while the Orgelpark turns into a workshop for young talent from conservatories in the Netherlands and abroad. The Orgelpark also commissions new compositions. In short, the Orgelpark is buzzing!
Art deco ambiance
In addition to the varied programme, there's a wonderful Art Deco ambiance, an intimate concert hall featuring impressive organs, beautiful and clear acoustics, and a cosy foyer.
