Amsterdam Marionette Theatre
The Amsterdam Marionette Theatre is an intimate and festive theatre – a former blacksmith's – right in the centre of Amsterdam. It presents traditional European marionette theatre set to classical music. Wooden actors, in their silk and velvet costumes, perform operas and poetic musical theatre by composers like Mozart and Offenbach.

The Amsterdam Marionetten Theater (AMT) was founded in 1985 by opera director / designer Hendrik Bonneur. The AMT presents a unique form of musical theater for young and old: the European classical marionette theater . Wooden actors present a unique form of musical theater, for young and old. Five puppeteers play the large basswood puppets. There are also guest appearances and film programs.
