What many people do not know is that there are 16 national monuments on the historic Keukenhof Estate. Keukenhof Castle is the most famous and was built in 1641 as a country estate by a wealthy Amsterdam merchant. Would you like to see the castle from the inside? In addition to the castle, the Koetshuis and the Hofboerderij are two national monuments that are still in use. Parties and classical concerts by Kasteel Cultureel take place in the Koetshuis. The Hofboerderij served as a farm until 2013 and is now an atmospheric restaurant where you are welcome from Wednesday to Sunday for a cup of coffee with fresh pastries, a delicious lunch sandwich or a drink.

Also larger events like the Buttonpop festival, the magical Castlefest and the Keukenhof Dahlia Days take place annually on the grounds around the castle. In the summer you can enjoy 150 varieties of dahlias in full bloom in the garden of Kasteel Keukenhof!
