Industrial Jan van der Togt
Dutch industrialist Jan van der Togt wanted to make his private collection of contemporary art accessible to the public. He did so in 1991, when he opened the museum with a fascinating permanent collection of glass and contemporary art. In the stylish building in Amstelveen, a selection of work by Ossip Zadkine, Floris Meydam, Andries Copier, Corneille and Sam Francis is on display.
In addition to the permanent collection, Museum JAN organizes changing exhibitions every six weeks.
