Museum JAN is a museum in Amstelveen dedicated to contemporary art and design, excelling in glass art. Its own collection consists of unique glass objects, assembled by founder Jan van der Togt. He collected top international art and sought out what appealed to him aesthetically. But the name JAN also refers to someone else: Jan Verschoor. He was Van der Togt's advisor, co-founder, and former director of the museum. In addition, he is an artist; his works are part of the permanent collection. Jan Verschoor also lives in the Museum House, where his works can be admired. Alongside this distinctive collection, Museum JAN offers a broad and engaging exhibition program. Currently on view: – Roos Holleman – The eye caresses – Christiaan Kuitwaard – Silent painter
