Former kindergarten

From the beginning, the Amstelveens Poppentheater has been located in a former kindergarten. It was thoroughly renovated in 1984; a second renovation took place in 1997. During this last renovation, the stage and the hall were enlarged, and the technical facilities were adapted to the requirements of the time.

The theatre was thoroughly renovated in 2008, with an attractive design in the foyer. Naturally, the technical and catering facilities are regularly renewed to consistently meet the current requirements.

In addition to performances and workshops, the theatre is increasingly rented out to third parties, theatre groups, institutions, companies, etc.
