How to visit the Volendams Museum with your City Card
It is not necessary to reserve a time slot to visit this location with your City Card. Make sure your City Card is valid at the time of your visit. In the Volendam Museum you will find an extensive collection of paintings, drawings, true-to-life old interiors and much more. Works by famous painters such as Henricus Rol and Edwin Austrin Abbey are displayed alongside fishing equipment and costume.
Cigar band mosaic
One of the highlights of the museum is the Cigar Band House, with mosaics made of 11 million cigar bands. This collection of colorful images of world-famous buildings, works of art and windmills was started in 1947 and has been one of the main attractions of the Volendam Museum since 1995.
