12 November 2025

That's why you choose an internship within the international press department of amsterdam&partners. This is how Pema Gurung sees it. He works as International Press Officer and would love to see you join the press team. In this team, you'll get all the space you need to be yourself and share your organisational talent and creativity. Pema is also counting on you to actively look for ways to inspire the press and convey this in the right way to create beautiful content.
Chances are that you already know amsterdam&partners from the motto I amsterdam. We want our capital to be known as a great place to live, work and visit. amsterdam&partners is there for residents, visitors and businesses.
Informing people about cultural activities; ensuring the right balance between the prosperity of the visitor economy and the well-being of residents; and providing communication to position Amsterdam as an attractive region to develop your talents, establish your innovative business or host your conference. These are three of the goals we are committed to at amsterdam&partners. The city of Amsterdam, and amsterdam&partners, are there for everyone.
The International Press department is responsible for maintaining contact with the international press, organising group press trips and developing tailor-made programmes for journalists, bloggers and instagrammers visiting the Amsterdam Metropolitan area. The team consists of two people and we spend at least two days together in the office.
Together with the press team, you will help deliver compelling and creative content to the international press. In this team, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the dynamic world of press. Examples of work include:
It’s our differences that make us better at what we do as a team. We all have our own dreams, talents and backgrounds. We work hard but there is always room for fun and connection; there are borrels, we play X-box and complete puzzles together. In addition, for this internship, it is important that:
An employer that offers a lot of freedom in the execution of your internship, where flexible working hours are key. As a young talent, we are the place for you. We offer you a chance to really work and develop within the field in which you want to specialize. We also offer you:
You will have a lot of freedom to organise your own work and working hours. For example, with us, you can work from home during national holidays and take the time off later. Of course, we’d also like to see you at our office at De Ruijterkade. This is a two-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and boasts views over the River IJ. Another moment we like to share is on Development Donderdags. On the last Thursday of the month, development is central: for you as a person, our team or the organisation. So what do we do? Things like a knowledge session, workshop, or improving happiness at work.
Would you like to use your talents to make our capital an even better place to live, work and visit? Then respond directly to this internship or ask for more information by sending an email to Pema Gurung, p.gurung@iamsterdam.com
