The Amsterdam Impact Makers Network brings together experts, innovators, and connectors who contribute to a future-proof Amsterdam. Through the Amsterdam Convention Bureau, we are building a network that links international conferences to local expertise and meaningful societal impact.
What is the Amsterdam Impact Makers Network?
Amsterdam faces major societal challenges — from healthcare and sustainability to technological innovation and urban mobility. At the same time, the city is an international hub for knowledge exchange and conferences.
The Impact Makers Network bridges these two worlds.
By connecting international conferences with local experts, we create:
- sustainable collaborations
- high-level knowledge exchange
- tangible impact for the city and its communities
What does the Amsterdam Impact Makers Network do?

Together with the network, we develop initiatives that go beyond the conference itself.
1. Attracting conferences to Amsterdam
Experts in the network actively contribute to bringing international conferences to the city that align with Amsterdam’s strategic priorities.
2. Developing impact programmes
We connect conferences to societal themes in Amsterdam, ensuring that knowledge is applied directly within the city.

The network opens doors to relevant organisations, knowledge institutions, and initiatives across Amsterdam.
4. Strategic advisory
Impact Makers help assess which conferences truly add value to the city and its residents.
