In the summer of 2026, the Parade, the traveling theater festival with its colorful tents, terraces, and restaurants, will return to Martin Luther King Park. The dates and times listed for 2026 are subject to change.
There's always something to do for all ages at the Parade. Whether you're a die-hard theater buff or come for the poffertjes, the Zweefmolen, and the lively atmosphere, you'll never go wrong. Theater makers and musicians roam the festival grounds, promoting their (often short) performances themselves. These shows take place in a tent and sometimes outdoors. Prepare to be surprised!
Children's Parade
In addition to the evening performances, there's an extensive Children's Parade every day with theater performances, music shows, and workshops. You can do carpentry and painting, float in the Zweef, dance, and bake your own poffertjes (mini pancakes). Or sing and dance along for free on Sunday afternoon with a children's band or musicians.
*During the Amsterdam Parade, the municipality requires visitors to pay an entertainment tax per visit, in addition to the admission price. This money goes directly to the Municipality of Amsterdam.
