A village without roads
Almost all of Giethoorn is only reachable by boat, which gives it a rare, unhurried atmosphere you won't find anywhere else. The village borders the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, the largest fen in northwest Europe, and the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape only adds to the magic. Expect peaceful waterways, lush greenery, and farmhouses that look like they belong in a storybook.
You'll have plenty of free time to wander, take photos, and soak it all in. The village is also home to some excellent restaurants, perfect for a leisurely lunch (not included).
