How to time travel with the VR Boat Tour
For most of the cruise, you won’t wear the VR headset. This gives you time to enjoy the canals, relax, and follow the onboard commentary about the city and its rich history. At key locations, you’ll switch to VR to watch your surroundings shift into 17th century Amsterdam with 360° views.
The neighbourhoods, ships and buildings you sail past are all created with historical accuracy. With each VR scene adding context about daily life and what Amsterdam was like back then. Some landmarks from the animation still exist today, so when the headset comes off, you can compare past and present in the same place.
