The ultimate Amsterdam beer
Amsterdam has aways been a city of beer lovers. It is home to a variety of breweries and places for beer tasting, but Heineken is still the biggest name and one of the most traditional Amsterdam beers. After Heineken constructed a larger and more modern brewery on the outskirts of Amsterdam, they converted their former home into a museum that opened in 1991. Now dubbed the Heineken Experience, it offers four floors of multimedia exhibits, historical brewing arte facts and a tasting bar. There’s also 'Brew Your Ride', a 4D adventure that allows visitors to discover what it’s like to be a bottle of Heineken.

We are open year-round, just like the city of Amsterdam! Unlike Amsterdam, we need our beauty sleep. We would love for you to visit us during our opening hours, last entry at 18:45 pm and visitors under 18 are not allowed in the Heineken Experience.

Explanation by Heineken Experience
Free ticket for a sign language interpreter. The Heineken Experience is very proud of its historic building. Unfortunately, this also makes it more difficult to be wheelchair friendly. They would therefore like to point out that weekdays are open before 1 p.m. are the least busy times. From 2025 they will also recognize the Sunflower Lanyard
