Halloween x 20 years of The Amsterdam Dungeon

For 20 years, The Amsterdam Dungeon has been scaring visitors out of their wits – and this year will be scarier than ever. From 4 October to 2 November, you can delve even deeper into the city's dark past. With a brand new show, extra scares and the return of the dreaded “Key Keeper”. For the real daredevils, there are three exclusive late-night openings. It will be darker, scarier and just that little bit more intense.

Halloween at NoordOogst

A spooky theatre adventure for young and old at the NoordOogst city farm. You follow the theatre route with performances that will give you goosebumps, performed by people from the neighbourhood. Immerse yourself in the adventure by coming in costume and bringing a bicycle to follow the route.

Pumpkin carving at the Fruittuin van West

What is Halloween without pumpkins? Fortunately, this month, the Fruittuin van West is bursting with these grinning oranges lantersn. With a spoon and a little imagination, you can hollow out your own pumpkin to take home. An ideal scary eye-catcher on the windowsill, in the garden or at the front door.

The Night Signal: Into the UPside

Experience a 30-minute Halloween walkthrough with actors, special effects and a compelling story. In small groups, you will walk through dark corridors, a maze and a haunted house on the grounds of UP Events. Before or after, you can enjoy themed snacks, drinks and even fire pits.

Halloween Pub Quiz at Papa Zatarra

Gather your smartest friends and take part in the spooky barrage of questions at this pub quiz. The quiz starts promptly at 8 p.m., so dive into your costume box, because coming in costume = bonus points. The best costume wins a prize. As a Halloween special menu, a burger and a beer are €15.

Want to celebrate Halloween in a smaller, private group? Rent a karaoke room at Duke of Tokyo, choose your favourite spooky hits and sing along to classics like Thriller. Perfect for a small, personal Halloween evening. No more worrying about how extravagant your costume is.

Amsterdam Catacombs Escape Room

Deep within the catacombs of Posthoornkerk, discover what dark secrets are hidden under this (un)holy ground. With a mix of interactive theatre, actors and a classic escape room, you will literally come face to face with your worst nightmares. Are you ready for the scariest escape room in the world? The game is suitable for groups of 2 to 6 people.

Pumpkin carving at Pluktuin Amstelveen

Pumpkins are an unmissable part of Halloween, and carving your own one is fun activity for all ages to participate in. Who can hollow out the most beautiful or the most gruesome pumpkin? During this workshop at the Pluktuin Amstelveen picking garden, kids can have the opportunity to make their own. Your ticket of €14.50 per child includes a pumpkin, snacks, drinks, and an extra surprise.

Pride – Halloween at Melkweg

Pon Di Pride is back, and this time Halloween will be celebrated as it should be: with dancing, warmth, fierce outfits and a room full of loving energy. This is a party by and for the BPOC LGBTQIA+ community. The line-up? Hot.

Amsterdam Halloween 2025: Alice in Horrorland

On Saturday 1 November, Westweelde will transform into a nightmare version of Wonderland: Alice in Horrorland. Three fully themed rooms await you, filled with terrifying rabbits, deranged tea parties and creepy caterpillar-like creatures. The line-up is still to be announced, but at West Weelde, the party never stops.

Club Panama

For those who enjoy Halloween but would rather sing along to Baby One More Time than run away from clowns, there's Club Panama. Their beloved party series We All Love 80's 90's 00's 10's gets a spooky twist on Saturday 1 November. From Thriller to SexyBack, you'll hear all your favourite and cheesiest hits from four decades. Dressing up is allowed (and encouraged; the more vampires, the better), but feel free to just show up as yourself.
