From 1961
The International Dance Theater (IDT) is one of the oldest dance companies in the Netherlands. From 1961 it was a company that produced folklore dance performances with live music in order to give the different, worldwide dance cultures a stage.
Quality and authenticity were the starting points. To ensure this, choreographers and musicians from all over the world were brought in to transfer the authentic material to the dancers and musicians. With respect for the culture and the people, the aim was to achieve the most authentic reflection possible.
