De Niemanders - Cafe Habibi
Dates
Meters of goosebumps. That's what they gave us. On our arms, legs, and hips. De Niemanders are not just any band. They give a voice to the nobodies. The outcasts. People in difficult situations. Previously, they made an album with detainees. And now they are giving asylum seekers a stage. Literally. Cafe Habibi is an upbeat mix of styles and languages. Performed by singers and musicians, some of whom live, or have lived, in asylum seeker centres. In their own universe, De Niemanders move from Arabic floor-fillers to opera and from soul and gospel to alternative rock. Down The Rabbit Hole took them to their heart, Into The Great Wide Open welcomed them with wide open arms, and we too are happy to get moving again. Goosebumps.
