Located in a former courthouse close to Leidseplein, De Balie is home to a daily offering of debates, seminars, theatre productions and films. The varied programme is aimed at a wide audience, primarily focused on social and political issues.

Throughout the day, De Balie’s bustling café/restaurant is a great place for a drink or bite to eat - whether you’re off to an event later in the evening or just passing by. The venue’s Main Hall, Salon and Film Hall are all available to hire for external events.
