Ode to the people we miss

Allerzielen in het Vondelpark has been organised since 2010. Because we are so good at celebrating in the city, but the sadness of missing someone is sometimes so little visible. Allerzielen in het Vondelpark shows in a beautiful and simple way that most people miss someone.
The hundreds of little boats are prepared each year by various groups of Amsterdammers. People who experience a disability but are keen to roll up their sleeves help out.
On the evening itself, the little boats are handed out at the tent by the pond. There are things to decorate the boats and make them extra beautiful, and there are notes for children to write special messages on. Everyone decides for themselves when to put their little boat on the water, and there is beautiful background music.
