Discover the history of the Mint Tower

Depot de Munt is located in the Muntstaete building, a municipal monument at the foot of the Munttoren in Amsterdam. The collection includes paintings, etchings, copper engravings, lithographs, and various objects from the early 19th century to the present day, with a special focus on the Munttoren, also known as 'De Munt'. During a 1.5-hour guided tour, you will be introduced to the history of the Munttoren and learn all about the origins of the collection. The film 'Wij maken de stad, de stad maakt ons' (We make the city, the city makes us) (20 min.) is screened.
