Chinese restaurant Nam Kee began serving traditional Cantonese fare in Amsterdam on the Zeedijk in 1981, and has since expanded to two more locations on the Gelderskade and de Pijp.

The best Chinese restaurant in the Netherlands

A few years ago Nam Kee was named the best Chinese restaurant in the Netherlands, beating out around 1,400 competitors. One signature dish, the steamed oysters in black bean sauce, has inspired a Dutch novel and film.
