Café Loetje has been a household name in Amsterdam for almost forty years and is best known for its steak, served with homemade fries and fresh orange juice.
Loetje started as a neighborhood and billiard café where you could also enjoy a bouncer or a ball of minced meat in addition to a drink. This café has the appearance of a pub and the service is cordial and friendly. Owner Jaap has appeared on Dutch television several times with demonstrations of his cooking skills. Although Loetje is pre-eminently a place for carnivores, the menu also includes shrimp croquettes and various soups.
Loetje now has several branches both in Amsterdam and abroad, throughout the Netherlands. Check the website for all locations, reservations and opening hours.
