Closing concert of the Cello Biënnale

The audience will see highlights from the festival return, supplemented by unexpected contributions and combinations of musicians you have not seen together during the festival before.
Theme Shifting Borders as a common thread
The theme Shifting Borders runs like a common thread through the concert. Normally, this closing concert takes place in the atmosphere of a Parisian grand café, but this time the musicians are leaving that setting and seeking out boundaries — in style, collaboration, and repertoire. What that yields is a surprise for everyone, including the musicians themselves.
Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ as a backdrop
The concert takes place at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam, a stage for contemporary and classical music by the water. The hall offers an intimate yet grand setting that fits the atmosphere of a festive closing concert.
