Amsterdam Science Park

Amsterdam Science Park is located on the eastern side of Amsterdam. The complex combines science with working and living space, covering an area of 70 hectares, which is the size of 98 football pitches.
Where science, technology, and innovation converge
Amsterdam Science Park is a leading campus in Europe for science, technology, and innovation. Here, more than 10,000 students, researchers, and entrepreneurs collaborate on solutions for the societal challenges of tomorrow. The park is home to leading knowledge institutions such as the University of Amsterdam (UvA), AMOLF, Nikhef, CWI, and SURF, and offers space to approximately 150 innovative companies – from startups to multinationals.
The focus is on four high-impact themes: AI & data science, sustainability, life sciences & (e)health, and high-tech systems & materials. This thematic clustering creates a dynamic ecosystem where fundamental research, applied research, and entrepreneurship reinforce each other.
A dynamic environment for co-creation and knowledge valorization
A unique feature of the Science Park is its physical proximity to education, research, and business. The park offers advanced lab facilities within the Matrix Innovation Centers for Deep Tech entrepreneurs, Startup Village, and LAB42, as well as programs that connect companies with talent and researchers. This makes it a breeding ground for co-creation and knowledge valorization.
Amsterdam Science Park is not only a workplace, but also a vibrant, green environment with art, sports, restaurants, and events—only ten minutes from Amsterdam's historic city center, yet with international appeal and impact.
