Petting zoo “de Pijp,” like a green gem, brings “air and light” to the densely built-up Oud Zuid district in Amsterdam. It is one of the nicest places in De Pijp for children to come into contact with animals and learn about nature and the environment. School classes also regularly visit us for fun, educational, and carefully prepared lessons. Even as a regular visitor, it is more than pleasant to spend time in this oasis of tranquility in the middle of the bustling city. In addition to the residents such as sheep, chickens, and goats there is also a beautiful native plant garden.

Various activities

The petting zoo has a number of regular activities, such as cuddling animals and craft workshops. We hope to be able to offer pony rides again soon; we will let you know which day as soon as possible, as this depends on having enough volunteers.

In addition, the petting zoo organizes various other activities. You can also go on scavenger hunts at the petting zoo. Just take a look at the binder next to the coffee machine. We regularly post information about the activities on social media, so keep an eye on our pages!
