The Molenwijk branch of the Amsterdam Public Library is located next to Molenwijk shopping centre. This large neighbourhood library offers plenty of space for reading, learning and meeting. It houses a large collection of 30,000 books, 1800 audio books, as well as CD-ROMs and games. It offers a selection of over a hundred national and international newspapers that visitors can enjoy reading from a large and comfortable roundtable.

The branch is home to a Vertelmuur (story wall) where visitors can experience stories told by both Amsterdam natives and newcomers. It also has a fun children’s corner with books for babies and small children. The library hosts regular art exhibitions showcasing work by local artists and annual photo exhibits featuring historic images of Amsterdam North.
