Walk past more than 200 real human bodies (plastinates) and discover how muscles, bones, and organs work together. You'll also see the difference between healthy and diseased organs, and after your visit you can receive a comprehensive body scan free of charge.

Japan on the big screen
The Camera Japan Festival is the largest Japanese film festival in the Benelux and attracts thousands of visitors every year. During the festival in Amsterdam, you can watch 19 different films on the big screen. Choose from feature films, animation, documentaries, LGBTQIA+ cinema, and timeless classics. Beyond the extensive film programme, there are plenty of opportunities to experience Japanese culture up close through visual arts, music, dance, and food.

Cinekid Festival

At Cinekid, the Netherlands' largest film, television, and new media festival, children aged 3 to 14 can enjoy high-quality films and media experiences. They can watch the latest children's films and series from around the world and explore new media forms such as AR, VR, AI, 360-degree films, and story-driven games. There are also Q&A sessions where children can ask creators questions. During masterclasses, they can create their own media projects under the guidance of professional filmmakers.

Tchaikovsky's The Seasons

Exactly 150 years ago, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky published a new piece every month in the Russian music magazine Nouvellist, often accompanied by a fitting poem. The result was The Seasons: 12 piano pieces, each depicting a month through imagery characteristic of that season in Russia. As a preview of her upcoming theatre tour, Belgian pianist Marie François will perform the complete cycle in a single concert at the Pianola Museum, interspersed with touches of poetry.

Eight artists, altars and celebrations

Pantheon Amsterdam brings together art, faith, and the history of Amsterdam. Eight artists have created new altarpieces exploring themes such as faith, identity, exclusion, and belonging. Their works demonstrate how religion and traditions continue to play an important role today. Through personal stories, they offer insight into the many cultures and beliefs that make up Amsterdam. Alongside these contemporary works, visitors can also view Jacob de Wit's The Resurrection (1736).
