From 9:00 to 20:00, you can cast your vote in the reception hall of the Anne Frank House. And better yet, as a voter, you can visit the museum for free. And of all places, it's here where you'll feel what is at stake when freedom and democracy disappear and why votes matter. Together with the Anne Frank Stichting, you'll receive a special red voting pencil with a quote from Anne Frank.

On 18 March, you can cast your vote in the Church Hall of H'ART Museum. Will you cast your vote between 10:00 - 17:00? Then, upon presentation of your voting paper, you'll also receive free admission to the exhibitions American Myth & Memory: David Levinthal Photographs and Jan Dibbets 1966–1976 – Toward Another Photography.

De Balie has been the go-to place in Amsterdam for discussions about politics, art, and society for years, and there's even a special programme around the elections. While most of these are in Dutch, it's good to know that De Balie runs an English programme too, with various debate evenings on contemporary themes from housing to safety, and climate, where politicians, journalists, and Amsterdammers engage in conversations about what truly matters. Everyone is welcome to listen or ask questions with the discussions always honest and often surprising. Tune in at De Balie and you can stay afterwards for a debate or a drink in the café.

At the Van Eesteren Museum, cast your vote with a view over the Sloterplas. The museum tells the story of the post-war city, with a lot of attention to space, light, and air, ultimately what makes Amsterdam so livable.

Vote among the animals at Stadsboerderij Osdorp. After voting, enjoy a cup of coffee among the greenery and maybe the sunshine.

This creative film location is housed in a former hospital building. After voting, stay for a film – right now there's a few retrospectives on – or have a bite at the cinema's popular café.

What could be more fun than casting your vote among goats, ponies, rabbits, chickens, and guinea pigs? On the outskirts of Amsterdam-Oost, you'll find children's farm De Werf. The farm even has a pet hotel where rabbits and guinea pigs can stay while their owners are on holiday. Just be careful not to let your voting card get eaten.

Vote in tropical surroundings at Hotel Jakarta, which features an indoor garden full of greenery and a view over the IJ. A special location for an important democratic moment.

Among the green surroundings of Gaasperpark, you'll find the Planetarium Meeting Centre (a former planetarium built for the Floriade). It is the perfect place for inspiring training sessions, meetings, and conferences. Put on your walking shoes and take your voting pass in your backpack because, besides voting, a walk around Gaasperpark is the perfect activity.
Between the movie posters and the smell of popcorn, voting here feels a little different. When you're finished, you can of course stay for a film which is as good a way as any to end your voting day.
