From July 24 to August 9, 2026, the Parade returns to Amsterdam! The world's only touring theatre festival sets up shop once again in the atmospheric Martin Luther King Park. At the Parade, around 80 theatre, dance, mime, and music performances for young and old will take place in the theatre tents. The majority of the performances were created especially for the festival and can only be seen at the Parade. Please note: On the final Sunday, August 9, the Parade closes its gates at 10:00 PM.

How to visit the Parade with your City Card
There is no need to book a time slot to visit this venue with your City Card. If you want to visit a performance, go to the website to book your tickets for the different language no problem performances. Make sure your City Card is valid at the time of your visit.
KinderParade
Every day from 2:00 PM, there’s a special children’s programme with theatre performances and live music. Kids can get hands-on by buidling, dancing – and even baking their own traditional Dutch poffertjes (mini pancakes)!
The Carousel
De Parade is more than just theatre. At the heart of the festival stands the iconic vintage carousel – a nostalgic favorite for many. We call it De Zweef. Some even say that the best riders can catch a glimpse of the angel on top of the ride…
And there’s more! We’ve added another classic fairground treat: old-fashioned swing boats. Take a seat facing each other and see who can swing the highest – cheered on by our candy girls, of course.
Food & Drinks
On the festival grounds, you’ll find a wide range of restaurants serving dishes from around the world – from Asian street food to spicy Indian curries. Got a sweet tooth? Create your own crêpes, bake mini pancakes, craft your own lollipop, or visit the cheerful candy girls. Drinks are served at various bars offering European wines, craft beers, and mouthwatering cocktails by Juicy’s.
