Saturday Farmer's market

On Saturdays, the entire square is taken over by the weekly organic farmers’ market. Here you’ll find everything from locally-grown fruits and vegetables to candles and cosmetics. In the summer, there is also a weekly flea market on Sundays. 

Besides the regularly scheduled markets, a number of special events and activities take place on the Nieuwmarkt throughout the year.
