In the Tropenmuseum you will find amazing objects from all over the world, each with its own story. You will travel across the world and through time and encounter a wide range of cultures from the past and present. The imposing central Light Hall offers a wide view of what the museum has to offer: an extensive permanent exhibition and regularly changing exhibitions. Look for the current offer on the website.
The Tropenmuseum is also open on Mondays during school holidays and on some public holidays.
Tropenmuseum Junior: step into another world
Tropenmuseum Junior is especially for children from 6 to 13 years old and is known for the appealing museum concept: see, touch, experience and participate. When you step into Tropenmuseum Junior, you step into a different world. The subjects come to life and children actively participate in the exhibition. Everyone's curiosity is stimulated. You learn by doing.
