Melkweg Expo

Melkweg Expo is an exhibition space for new and modern visual culture, located in the heart of Amsterdam. It's also a place where emerging artists can showcase their work, featuring photography that explores our identity, our society, and pop culture. Other forms of visual art are also on display. An open and accessible approach has been chosen, showcasing art that is innovative, engaging, and inclusive. The primary goal is to nurture, promote, and empower emerging talent.

As part of Melkweg Amsterdam, we attract a broad and diverse audience: from art connoisseurs, photography enthusiasts, art students, and self-taught artists to casual passersby and music lovers before or after a concert. With local and international partners, we present a unique and generally free program of at least six major exhibitions per year, a multidisciplinary festival, educational tips, portfolio reviews, engaging conversations, impromptu gatherings, and of course, our renowned openings.
