kunstRUIM is a platform for and by professional visual artists from Amsterdam. They offer a home for local artists, a stage for their work, and an outstretched hand to art lovers. In the kunstRUIM gallery on the Jodenbreestraat they have regularly changing exhibitions. In addition, they organize various cultural events throughout the year where they want to introduce residents and visitors of the city to Amsterdam art and Amsterdam artists.

Through this, the range of Amsterdam art remains accessible to everyone and representative of the city and its inhabitants.

KunstRUIM shows the work of their artists via their website, social media, pop-up gallery, activities, and events. Art lovers can contact these artists directly without the intervention of others. KunstRUIM does not receive a commission for sold work. They expect participating artists to make an active contribution to their activities, for example by being present during exhibitions and playing a role in the organisation in areas like logistics, publicity, and gallery management.
