Free trees for Amsterdammers!
Trees are the silent heroes of the city. They lower the temperature, filter air, provide shade and housing for birds, insects and mammals. That is why Stichting De Gezonde Stad gives away thousands of trees to Amsterdammers every year. This way, we are planting an urban forest together and making the city future-proof!
You can choose from 2 types: the Wilde Appel and the Gele Kornoelje. Both are good for biodiversity, require little maintenance, and also do well in a pot (great if you don't have a garden).
Bonus: when you pick up your tree, you draw a ticket. Is there a grape on it? Then you can also take a grape bush home with you. There is a draw in every time slot, so everyone has an equal chance!
