Discover the rich jazz culture
South East Jazz brings Amsterdam Southeast to life with a free festival full of jazz, soul, and Latin music. Jazz connects cultures and people, just as it did in New Orleans. Experience how Southeast, with its mix of African, Indian, and South American influences, forms the perfect backdrop for this dynamic event.
Enjoy musical encounters
Family Futurism is this year's theme: a celebration of music that brings generations and stories together. Established names and new talent share the stages, and national and international artists meet. In this way, music becomes a bridge between generations.
Various performances on four stages
Expect a wide range of performances. At the Bijlmer Parktheater, you can see a children's program and performances by the Joep Grotendorst Quartet and the Justin Zitt Trio, among others, complemented by guest artists. The Zandkasteel Podium presents Yael Daila and the Jazz Focus Big Band. At the Greystar Latin Podium, you can enjoy salsa and bachata with Gianna Tam y La Banda, among others. The Johan Cruijff ArenA Podium closes the day with performances by JELISA and Illnoledge.
Discover art and community
In addition to the music stages, there is an art exhibition along the festival route. Admire portraits of residents of Eben Haezer, created by Talent @ H'ART Museum. South East Jazz celebrates openness, improvisation, and creativity. The festival connects residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs and lets you discover new music and special places in Amsterdam Southeast.
