Multidisciplinary, kickstart performance sharing

More than 50 performing artists have built their own infrastructure with st. Fair Performance Pact, allowing them to continue producing with less dependence on government funding. These professional makers are given the opportunity to show their work at various affiliated venues, such as in the Plein Theater. Spread over two evenings, 5 performers will show their work via a public sharing in co-creation with Theaterplatform PickUp.

Performing arts can connect people with each other and themselves in the moment like nothing else. This evening by Fair Performance Pact calls for interplay thanks to the trinity of performer, audience, and stage. The shared experience, this dialogue, is a pact for fair practice in the arts.

You are going to see something that is still in development. Do you want to continue enjoying experimental stage offerings today and tomorrow? Then buy a ticket for now and, if you like, also for their next presentation. By doing so, you invest in and connect yourself with these makers so that they can continue working. Curious?

This program is our counter-reaction to the changing society. With experiments like this mini festival, FPP hopes to safeguard the future of the performing arts, regardless of the political climate we find ourselves in. Fair Performance Pact sees culture as a public interest that we take care of together.

Together with you as the audience and venues like the Plein theater, we want to support makers and make performances a success. Otherwise, we will end up in a cultural climate where there is only room for pre-chewed mainstream. Are you a maker, a venue, or part of the audience and do you want to join the Fair Perfomance Pact?
