The Foodwalk Winter: how does it work?

Amsterdam is at its most beautiful when the lights are on and the water reflects them. Le Foodwalk Winter is a walk through that city, past five restaurants that each have a bite ready for you. There is a vegetarian version of every bite, which you choose when booking.

You start between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Vermeers Wijnkamer on the Zeedijk, where you pick up your stamp card and your first bite. Afterwards, the route passes In de Waag on the Nieuwmarkt, with hundreds of real candles in the old weigh house building, Amstel1 in the Lichtstraat near Waterlooplein, the glass pavilion of Dignita in the Hoftuin, and finally We Are EDN at the Oosterdok, five minutes from Central Station.

Every bite is made for takeaway. You may sit down if the place has space, but the basic principle is that you pick up and keep walking. Between stops, you walk for five minutes to half an hour: across the Magere Brug, through the illuminated Utrechtsestraat, past the Hortus, and over the Oosterdok. Plenty of time to work up an appetite again.

Who are you bringing along on the Foodwalk

Five bites, five restaurants, approximately a five-kilometer walk. Nineteen evenings. Every Friday and Saturday, from November 13, 2026, to January 23, 2027. Please note: There is no Foodwalk at Christmas or on January 1, 2027 (New Year's Day).

Tickets cost €37.50 per person + €1 administration fee. For this, you receive five bites, the route, and your own stamp card. You choose between regular and vegetarian when booking. Drinks are not included; you order and pay for these yourself at the restaurants.

The number of spots per evening is limited, so don't wait too long to book.
