Prize for innovative research

The Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award (AmSIA) is a prize for innovative ideas from science. Students and researchers from Amsterdam universities, colleges, hospitals and research institutes participate. Since the start, more than 700 ideas have been submitted. Many of these have led to innovations and successful companies.

Final in NEMO with 9 finalists

During the festive finale in the NEMO Science Museum, 9 finalists will pitch their ideas to a jury and the public. There are 3 cash prizes of €10,000 in the Society, Health and Environment & Climate categories. These are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. In addition to the main prizes, 3 researchers will receive an Impact Award for contributing to society. New this year is the Amsterdam 750 Award: a special prize for a researcher whose work contributes to the city's future.
