Amsterdam Roots Festival
Amsterdam Roots is getting ready for one of the first open air festivals in Amsterdam. Unbelievable but true, Roots Open Air is really going to take place in two weeks. At the end of June 2023, the Amsterdam Roots Festival will be back! You can expect a sparkling program with music, circus, dance, theatre, children's programs, visual arts, workshops and in-depth programmes. The festival takes place at locations such as Bimhuis and TapasTheater and they conclude in the Oosterpark.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Amsterdam Roots wants to embrace the entire city and come to Zuidoost, Nieuw-West and Noord with open-air theater performances and a sparkling new music program in the Bijlmer.
Roots Open Air in Oosterpark
The Amsterdam Roots Festival is closed annually with the Roots Open Air Festival. Until the late hours you can swing to summery, non-Western pop music, dance and electronic music with an international twist. Roots Open Air will take place in Oosterpark on the last Sunday of the festival.
Roots Open Air not only offers the opportunity to discover modern music from different countries; you also come into contact with different cultures. In addition to the various stages, there are dance workshops, activities for children, the Roots Bazaar where you can go for colorful clothing, and the tastiest snacks and drinks.
