Amsterdam Fringe Festival
Sometimes referred to as the NL Theater Festival’s quirky sister, Amsterdam Fringe Festival is all about bringing avant-garde productions to light. Each year some 70 productions are presented created by unorthodox theatre-makers keen to impress with their vision. What’s more, the venues where these eclectic performances take place can be just as unexpected. PLEASE NOTE: Listed dates and starting times for 2023 are subject to change.

Amsterdam Fringe Festival
As summer draws to a close, Amsterdam is firmly in the grip of performing arts, with the Dutch Theatre Festival and the accompanying Amsterdam Fringe Festival coming to town.
Staging a huge array of productions by cutting-edge home-grown and international producers and artists at over 30 venues, the Amsterdam Fringe aims to be an ‘ode to independence’ and a ‘plea for artistic freedom’.
Turning the entire city into a stage, the festival promises a wide selection of events that are suitable for non-Dutch speakers – at least half are in English or language doesn’t matter for following the performance.
With a fantastic line-up of international productions, the festival promises a wide selection of events that are also suitable for non-Dutch speakers (at least half are in English or language simply doesn't matter).
