Krrrnk! (Crunchy is camouflage), 2026
In this work, Joakim returns to his research on camouflage and visual deception. Fictional characters have hidden in this FEBO building and attempt to blend in with the architecture and visual language. Some disappear completely, others are betrayed by small deviations.
The sculptures balance between invisibility and recognition and unfold through fragmented stories in the visitor's perception.
FEBO, known for its vending machines and daily role in the city, creates a dynamic environment. The branch on Oudezijds Voorburgwal has been run by the same family since 1987 and is a trusted, accessible local fixture.
