Yield (2026)
Yield is a new work by Tild Greene on the facade of the Oude Kerk (Old Church). Its funnel-shaped design channels rainwater into a copper element that will gradually patinate during the exhibition, while a portion is preserved in silicone. The work references drainage systems, regulation, and maintenance in public spaces.
Through its connection to the nearby plaskrul, Yield reveals how seemingly neutral infrastructures influence bodily behavior. Greene explores how sustainability, use, and environment shape behavior and access through evolving materials.
The Oude Kerk, the oldest building in Amsterdam, is today a centre for contemporary art and heritage.
This pavilion was created in collaboration with the Oude Kerk.
