This cosy hang out is something of a hidden gem in Amsterdam, thanks to its slightly secretive location across the water from Nemo science centre. Inside is all rustic furnishings and arty decor, but it's in the summer months that Hannekes Boom really comes into its own thanks to a huge outdoor beer garden and a rooftop bar and terrace. With regular live music and DJ nights, a fine selection of drinks and rustic snacks, and a cool local crowd, this is undoubtedly one of Amsterdam's finest summer hotspots.
