About Inês Filipe
Inês Filipe has won numerous prizes at national and international piano competitions. Among these, we mention in particular the “Prémio Antena2” of the 17th SIPO International Piano Festival, under the watchful eye of a prestigious jury consisting of Boris Berman, Luiz de Moura Castro, Josep Colom, and Paul Badura-skoda.
Inês can regularly be heard as a soloist in recitals and has already performed in numerous countries, including Spain, England, France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Thailand, Panama, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. She is very versatile regarding the choice and performance of the piano repertoire. This includes concert pieces ranging from Bach to contemporary music.
Due to her interest in modern and contemporary Portuguese music, she also plays an active role in its dissemination. She has already performed several premieres of works by Portuguese composers.
Her curriculum also includes a CD recorded for the renowned publisher DaVinci-Classics featuring solo piano works by Claude Debussy, and a CD dedicated to works by Portuguese composers for the publisher Musicamera-Produções.
Inês Filipe attended the CMACG under teacher Patrícia Sousa. She graduated in piano performance from the Stanislao Giacomantonio Conservatory in Italy, the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, the University of Aveiro, and Piano Education from the Universidade do Minho. She studied with Rodolfo Rubino, Josep Colom, Fausto Neves, and Luís Pipa.
She is currently working on a PhD in Cultural Studies at the University of Minho, in collaboration with the FCSH of the Universidade Nova in Lisbon.
