War for innocence Alexander Gavrylyuk
This concert at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ combines two extremes. On one side is the world of childlike innocence with Mozart's lively sonata and Tchaikovsky's Album pour enfants. In contrast stands Prokofiev's Seventh sonata, written in 1942 and part of his so-called War Trilogy. The Ukrainian pianist Gavrylyuk knows what war means.
