The Flevopark is located on the edge of the east side of Amsterdam. Large playing fields and the construction of a harbor for rowing boats were intended to meet the needs of the growing youth of the Indische Buurt.

City park with a diverse nature reserve

When you enter the park you will pass the former Israeli cemetery (not accessible). The Flevopark is not just any city park: due to its unique location on the edge of the city and on the water of the Nieuwe Diep, there are plants and animals that you will not easily encounter in an isolated city park such as the Vondelpark or Oosterpark. .
