Rialto VU
In 1921, a long-cherished dream of Anton Pieter du Mee came true: he opened his own cinema on the Ceintuurbaan in the Amsterdam Pijp: Rialto. After years of planning and preparation, exactly one century after the opening, another big dream is now becoming reality: the opening of Rialto VU. Rialto VU is a new film theater, located in an equally new building on the campus of the VU University Amsterdam on De Boelelaan.
More culture in the Zuid district
This is reinforced by the fact that VU Griffioen is also moving from Uilenstede to De Boelelaan 1111 to offer their programs there in two theater halls and ten training rooms. Add to that the arrival of the VU ART SCIENCE gallery exhibition space and a really cozy and cozy café, and the picture is complete: De Boelelaan 1111 will be a unique place where studying, living and working go hand in hand with culture and relaxation.
