Like many of Amsterdam’s great cultural spaces, 16CC is multifunctional. One part contemporary art gallery, one part art-house cinema and one part café equals a successful formula for drawing a young crowd to the Kadijksplein.

With just 20 or so cosy seats, the cinema gives the impression of hanging out in the owner’s living room with friends. The movie theatre doubles (and triples) as a performance space for writers and musicians. Check the 16cc website for film listings and other performances.
