About Sappholympics
Two presenters, two showbiz people, are hosting a TV show. A spectacle of light, glitter, music, historical female and queer figures, and humor is the formula for a great program. But however safe and recognizable it feels, something slowly begins to shift. The presenters seem to lose control as different rules begin to apply. And before they know it, they have to ask themselves who is actually in charge here.
With SAPPHOLYMPICS, the way structures of power work is examined in a sharp and humorous way. Because who is actually the boss within SAPPHOLYMPICS? The two presenters? Or the producer, program maker, and editor-in-chief, all men.
Office thriller
ROCK ‘N’ SCROLL is an absurd office thriller about two colleagues, a coffee break, and devices that go haywire.
In the copy room, the workday slowly derails into a battle with ringing phones, glitching printers, Teams meetings, TikTok traps, and fluorescent light that hits just a little too hard. Every attempt to make contact is disrupted by something that vibrates, pings, or lights up.
Josephine Borst and Mara Linde Tieleman create disruptive, physical, and comedic theater about a world that never turns off. With slapstick, digital chaos, and everyday stunts, they show how difficult it has become to still be truly present.
A performance for anyone who has part of their brain in their scrolling thumb.
