Architecture for a large audience
The architecture center of Amsterdam was founded in 1986 with the aim of making architecture accessible to a large audience, in order to give a stage to the architectural challenges and developments in Amsterdam.
It is the starting point for anyone interested in architecture. Architecture Center Amsterdam organizes a broad program consisting of exhibitions, lectures, excursions, debates and major annual events such as the Day of Architecture Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Architecture Center also awards the Amsterdam Architecture Prize every year.
Visitor's Center
Arcam can be found at the Prins Hendrikkade 600 in Amsterdam. The building designed by René van Zuuk is well worth a visit, with its special shapes and beautiful view over the Oosterdok. In addition to changing exhibitions, you can find all information about Amsterdam's architecture and urban planning here.
