In the spring of 2027, it is time for a new edition of the Rollende Keukens in Amsterdam's Westerpark. A mobile food festival for gourmets. This year, the grounds in Westerpark will once again magically transform into the largest open-air restaurant in Europe. 80 food trucks and 100 live acts are ready for you during this 19th edition. Please note: The dates and times mentioned for 2027 are subject to change.
Once again, you can fully lose yourself in the culinary cardinal directions of all the Rolling Kitchens. For instance, the iconic Tower is offering a stage to chef Salma Barakat this year. After fleeing Gaza, where she worked as a midwife, she now keeps her Gazan cuisine alive through catering and pop-ups. On Salma's menu is musakhan: a charcoal-grilled chicken leg (or portobello) with sumac, braised onions, and pine nuts, accompanied by Palestinian flatbread and labneh.
Homeland, Sangria & Slush
After years of collaboration with major breweries, for the latest edition, the Rollende Keukens chose an independent brewer from its own city: Homeland. Known for their famous specialty beers, a Puur Pils has been developed for the Weekend. Whether this will also be the case for the new edition is not yet known.
Enjoy the DJ-free music menu
During this international, free neighborhood party, you can enjoy live music. With around 100 free performances, the Rollende Keukens has been the largest open-air stage for live music in the city for years. This year, too, the menu is packed with music for every taste.
Free admission & City Pass
The Rolling Kitchens Weekend, organized by five Amsterdam families since 2008, is still free to attend. Visitors with a Stadspas can enjoy a dish and a drink at around 12 kitchens for €2.50.
